You may be wondering what the title of this course has to do with math...well, FOIL is an acronym for "First, Outside, Inside, Last":
On the ASVAB exam, one common problem is to multiply two parenthesis operations such as (3x + 5) * (2x - 4). Essentially, we need to distribute each of the terms in the first parenthesis to the second. The easiest way to do this is to multiply the set of terms in the order of FOIL. Let's look at an example:
